Accessibility statement

Residents of every ability need to pay a bill, report a pothole or check what they owe. We aim for Civic Platform and this website to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

What we've done

• Form fields carry proper labels, so screen readers announce what each one is for.
• Text and form borders are checked against WCAG contrast ratios.
• Dialogs keep keyboard focus inside them until they close.
• Required fields are marked in a way screen readers announce, not by colour alone.

Where we are

We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit, so we don't claim full conformance. If you find something hard or impossible to use, that's a bug and we want to hear about it.
